Hooked from the beginning! Connor has dreams of being a head chef, leaves Detroit to try for a job in a casino in Louisiana. Things don't go quite as planned, and through an odd chain of circumstances, Connor winds up in Uncertain, TX and a small, well-established restaurant called Louisiana's Kitchen.

Emily Kate runs Louisiana's Kitchen after it was left to her after her grandfather passed away. After Connor charms his way into the kitchen (then Emily Kate's bed) things will never be the same for the two. But Connor is keeping a big secret and a whole lot of potential trouble.

It's one thing after another with these two, sweet but hot relationship between Connor and Emily Kate. Loved the two of them from beginning to end and with all the twists thrown in. Definitely a stand alone, but there are other books with crossover characters, but I never felt "lost" once. Great book all around!
