I drive toward the hospital I work at in Charleston, contemplating my next move. I pull into the parking lot of The Thirsty Beaver Gentleman’s Club. I’ve passed it so many times, but I’ve never really noticed it before. The place looks nice on the outside: paved parking lot, landscaped areas with various flowers, and shrubbery. There is even a little shelter area, maybe for smokers. The parking lot is well lit, and most of the cars are expensive looking.I’ve met a few dancers before, and they always talked about how much money they made.
